Astro Geography Series - Part 1

If you’ve read my story or have known me, you know I love to travel.

A previous boss of mine once even said (confusedly so), “you just go to the furthest away places for the shortest amount of time”. I think he didn’t understand why I would travel so far for such a short period, but I just didn’t always have the financial means or the vacation time to book longer excursions. But I wouldn’t let that stop me from going.

I have finally booked some trips this year and I am SO excited :)

And in 2021 I had taken a course from the amazing Erin Rogers on Astrocartography (or Astrogeography).

This was something I had heard about before and followed a few people on Instagram to get more info.

I was always fascinated because it blended two of my favourite things - travel (and places around the world) and your astrology! What better combo than that? Plus, Erin Rogers added a Human Design flair as well, so I loved every ounce of information (my 1 profile loves that nerding out).

In Astrology you take your time, place, and date of birth and get a “natal chart” that gives a snapshot of the sky at your time of birth. In Astrogeography they basically take it one step further and lay that chart on a map of the world to get an energetic map of how certain places hold certain energies for you.

(You know how in Ghostbusters they talk about ley lines? Well, this is like you finding out your own individual energetic ley lines for your own personal energetic hot spots around the world).

I love this information. And maybe because of being stuck inside for 2020 I really needed that energy in 2021. I definitely was craving a regular spiritual practice, plus being able to dive deeper into the astrology and travel and going down memory lane was such a gift. And we learned how to call in the energy of places even if we couldn’t physically go, another gift.

Now in 2022 it’s my intention to travel - thus experiencing places and these energies in person again. Many of my trips I have booked are for places that I’ve been to before, so it will be interesting to reflect on why I’m being drawn back and what my experience will be this time.

I’ve also been feeling called to share about my previous travels, the reflections that I had, and the realizations that came to me during the Astrocartography course on why I had been drawn to those places in the first place!

I certainly travel intuitively - I just follow where my heart leads me to go. When I’m booking, it’s for a place that I yearn to visit. Or sometimes it’s been places that I wasn’t necessarily interested in, but then I went and they surprised me. They had gifts for me. Once I took the Astrocartography course so many things clicked.

All of this information was so helpful and insightful for me - it really helped me understand why I am drawn to certain places, including why I was so drawn to move to Calgary!

So this is going to be a series of blog posts. I will be writing about trips I’ve been on, the astrological and energetic significance they held for me, what my experiences were there, what lessons I learned, and tying in Human Design and Astrogeography along the way.

I am sooo looking forward to this because it will be a trip down memory lane. Plus I love putting all my favourite things together and sharing it with people :)

Stay tuned for more posts!
